Sensei Daniel Oke began his training with Sensei Platt in 2008. After receiving his yellow belt he knew that dedicating his life to the study of martial arts and teaching a Classical Martial Arts program would be the best way to accomplish his life's purpose to find the "way to help people become the best version of themselves they want to be".
Sensei Oke has attended 2 of Hanshi Platt's "24 hour training seminars", 2 trips to China to study with the Northern/Southern Shaolin and Taoist monks, as well as over a dozen seminars and training camps run by Hanshi Platt and other senior CMAC directors, including the 2018 Hawaii energy training trip. Before Sensei Oke opened the "Fudoshin" CMAC dojo in 2015, through the guidance of Hanshi Platt, he accomplished one of his life's goals and was able to train at the pyramid of Chichen Itza, Mexico. This trip, as well as his later voyage to Japan alongside Sensei Michael Slomczewski, greatly deepened the spiritual connection to the martial arts that Sensei Oke continues to explore to this day.
The word "samurai" can be translated to "one who serves". It is with this mindset that Sensei Oke approaches teaching, training and his role in the organization that gave him both direction and purpose.
